ATIS Delivers Forefront Insights into Implementing Generative AI in Telecommunications Networks

ATIS today announced publication of Advancing Generative AI Implementation in Telecommunications Networks. The report addresses how artificial intelligence (AI) will transform the telecommunications industry by enhancing the efficiency, personalization, and security of network operations across domains such as Radio Access Networks (RAN), core networks, devices, and network management. It makes a major industry contribution by surveying key use cases of generative AI, including RAN optimization, digital twins, network slicing, and AI-enhanced troubleshooting.

“With this report, ATIS presents the industry a set of actionable recommendations that will drive telecommunications forward while complementing standards development organizations’ ongoing efforts in this rapidly evolving area of innovation,” said ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller.

While generative AI shows great potential, the telecommunications sector had lacked focused studies on its specific applications. With this report, ATIS meets this need by analyzing real-world use cases and offering targeted insights to improve operational efficiency and also foster future innovation in the industry.
