WASHINGTON, DC – ATIS today announced the election of Senior Vice President, Engineering and Operations at AT&T Services, Inc. Igal Elbaz as chair of the ATIS Board of Directors. The ATIS Board of Directors brings together C-level executives from the leading ICT companies to set the organization’s strategic, technical and operational direction. As board chair, Elbaz assumes this leadership role from Andre Fuetsch, AT&T who served as Chair of the ATIS Board for the last six years.
Igal joins the newly reelected Board Officers: First Vice Chair – David Young, Vice President, Public Policy at Verizon; Second Vice Chair – Mark Hess. Senior Vice President, Business and Industry Affairs at Comcast Cable; Secretary – Karri Kouppamaki, Senior Vice President, Network Technology Development and Strategy at T-Mobile USA; and Treasurer – Stephen Alexander, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Ciena. Also, Executive Vice President & CTO at iconectiv, Chris Drake, has been reelected chair of ATIS’ Technology and Operations Council. Terms for these two-year positions will begin January 1, 2022. The elections of these officers took place at the recent ATIS Board of Directors meeting.

Also, at the recent Meeting of the ATIS Members, the following members were elected to serve on the ATIS Board for two-year terms effective January 1, 2022: Chief Executive Officer of Telnyx David Casem; 10x People, LLC Chief Executive Officer Lisa Marie Maxson; and Head of Product, Cloud Communications & Emergency Services at Bandwidth, Inc. Christian Militeau.
