WASHINGTON, DC – ATIS is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2021 ATIS Achievement Awards, which recognize four technology leaders and industry subject matter experts for their critical contributions to information and communications technology (ICT) solutions development in support of ATIS’ strategic initiatives.
“From solutions in the areas of spectrum, illegal robocalling mitigation, 5G, power distribution and more, ATIS addresses ICT’s leading challenges,” said ATIS President and CEO Susan M. Miller. “Our award recipients’ results-driven leadership and technical and business acumen ensure that ATIS remains a global leader in the solutions and standards that advance our industry’s transformation.”
The 2021 ATIS Achievement Awards, were presented to the following individuals for their leadership and valued contributions:
- Edward J. Badon Jr. of EnerSys for the development of the ATIS Technical Report on Fault Managed Power Distribution Technologies – Human Contact Fault Analysis.
- Farrokh Khatibi of Qualcomm for development of the ATIS Wireless Radio Standards, including North American Microwave Spectrum Bands (United States and Canada) and the joint effort to develop The Study of Emergency Services and NS/EP NGN‐PS Coexistence on LTE Access Networks.
- Peter Musgrove of AT&T for contributions to ATIS’ Wireless Technologies and Systems Committee. This work is helping to ensure ATIS remains a global leader in the development of critical standards in many areas and is establishing ATIS and North America as a global leader in 5G.
- Theresa Reese of Ericsson for the development of technical reports and standards to support STIR/SHAKEN procedures for Emergency Calls and Emergency Callbacks in a number of SDOs, including a number of ATIS committees and fora.
