ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller today issued the following statement regarding legislative directives under consideration by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation that would rescind unobligated funds from the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, administered by NTIA under the CHIPS and Science Act:

“ATIS is working to advance North American leadership in wireless for 5G, 6G, and beyond. The Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund directly supports our industry-driven objectives by strengthening public-private partnerships to ensure the U.S. remains preeminent in critical areas such as supply chain security and next-generation wireless research. This fund should not be rescinded. It advances critical priorities that have enjoyed bipartisan support, delivering on President Trump’s 2019 Executive Order on Securing Information and Communications Technology Supply Chains and fostering innovation in a foundational area that many sectors of the economy depend upon for their success.”
