This paper presents several user stories that focus on common situations where more intelligent traffic management techniques based on specific traffic flow attributes can be used to optimize QoE. It also explains how effective traffic management requires in-network traffic classification to optimize traffic flows. By properly identifying traffic flows that can be more intelligently optimized, effective traffic management can be implemented while optimizing QoE. This paper presents potential solution guidelines, along with a solution template to aid in the creation of complete solutions. The next step is to identify, develop, and deploy new industry solutions to better meet the needs of users, network providers, and application providers.
